Lironeros is the nickname given to the inhabitants of Briones in Rioja Alta; and this wine is the joint project of Daniel Puras and Miguel Merino. In 2022, Daniel and Miguel acquired an old vineyard planted in the 1940s in the El Carrascal area, southeast of Briones. It is a 0.5-hectare plot planted with Tempranillo and Garnacha Blanca on east-facing clay-limestone soils.
